Expert Interior Designer offers Architectural Background

I was raised in a family of artists and designers who immersed me into the world of creativity and fostered a multidisciplinary approach to education. Traveling with them and exploring the rich art and architecture of my homeland sparked my initial passion for architecture and construction. Pursuing architecture at the  university while studying music part-time, I gained valuable insights into both fields.

As an architect, I had the opportunity to assist my parents in renovating their home, where I not only oversaw the architectural process, but also curated materials, lighting, and decor. Witnessing their joy and contentment in the newly transformed space made me realize my deep-seated passion for creating environments that enhance happiness and personal expression. This realization prompted my transition into the interior design industry in 2014, after five years of practicing architecture.

My strength lies in my meticulous attention to detail and aesthetics, alongside technical proficiency. In Farsi, my name Behin translates to "the best," a philosophy I embrace and showcase in my approach to crafting functional yet memorable spaces.

In 2017, after navigating the intricate processes of university applications, visa interviews, and paperwork, I embarked on a journey to pursue my design ambitions in New York City, where I arrived without any connections. I began building my career foundation by collaborating with various interior design firms and indulging my interdisciplinary interests through teaching at Parsons School of Design, where I had also earned my degree.

My diverse background as an artist, architect, interior designer, and educator has endowed me with a rich reservoir of knowledge, which I consider my greatest asset.
